Lab Associate I - Core Lab

Overview

Role Purpose

Performs non-blood and blood specimen collection, specimen handling/routine processing, and clerical duties associated with specimen collection. Coordinates a simultaneous series of tasks accurately, including STAT orders and fluctuation in workload, prioritizing work to complete within scheduled hours and established turnaround times. Interacts with lab, clinical, and other ancillary departments.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy, positive patient identification, and positive patient interaction, proper collection and specimen integrity.
• Carefully coordinate a simultaneous series of tasks accurately, including STAT orders and fluctuation in workload, prioritizing work to complete within scheduled hours and established turnaround times.
• Interacts with lab, clinical, and other ancillary departments.

Requirements

• Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma or GED.
• No Experience Required.
• Preferred Qualifications:
• Licenses & Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Phlebotomy.
