Lab Assistant - PRN, Days

Responsibilities

• Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA and other applicable regulatory, established standards as may be applicable.
• Performs venipunctures at entities where applicable, and obtains/prepares blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures.
• Affords assistance to technical staff in non-clinical tasks.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
• No experience required
• One year of experience as a phlebotomist Required
• Prior experience in performing EKGs Preferred
• Prior experience working in healthcare or clinical laboratory setting Preferred
• No licenses or certifications required
• CPT - Phlebotomy Technician Certification Phlebotomy certification through ASCP, ASPT, NCA or equivalent agency Preferred
