Responsibilities
- Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA and other applicable regulatory, established standards as may be applicable.
- Performs venipunctures at entities where applicable, and obtains/prepares blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures.
- Affords assistance to technical staff in non-clinical tasks.
Qualifications
- Education: H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
- Work Experience: No experience required
- Required 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist
- Preferred Experience: in performing EKGs, working in healthcare or clinical laboratory setting, Phlebotomy certification through ASCP, ASPT, NCA or equivalent agency
