Sign-on bonus available. Special weekend option: 9a–9p Saturday and Sunday, plus Friday 2–10p. Location: Piedmont Fayette Hospital in Fayetteville, GA.
Responsibilities
- Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA, and other applicable regulatory and established standards.
- Performs venipunctures at entities where applicable, and obtains/prepares blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures.
- Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
- No prior work experience required; 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist preferred.
- Experience performing EKGs preferred.
- Experience working in a healthcare or clinical laboratory setting preferred.
Qualifications
- Phlebotomy Technician Certification (CPT) required (certification through ASCP, ASPT, NCA, or equivalent agency preferred).
