Responsibilities
- Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA and other applicable regulatory, established standards as may be applicable.
- Performs venipunctures at entities where applicable, and obtains/prepares blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures.
- Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.
Qualifications
- H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
- No experience required
- Required 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist
- PREFERRED: Experience in performing EKGs
- PREFERRED: Experience working in healthcare or clinical laboratory setting
Licenses and Certifications
- None Required
- Preferred: Phlebotomy certification through ASCP, ASPT, NCA or equivalent agency
