Lab Assistant, Part Time, Variable Shift
About the Role
The Laboratory Assistant performs specimen procurement, accessioning, processing, and testing as assigned under the supervision of a licensed Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS). Provides phlebotomy (venipuncture and skin puncture) to inpatients and outpatients.

Responsibilities
- Perform phlebotomy (venipuncture and skin puncture) on patients ranging from infancy through adult.
- Accession, process, and test specimens as assigned.
- Operate laboratory equipment and set up cultures (preferred).
- Perform computer data entry.
Requirements
- Current phlebotomy certification.
- Valid BLS CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
- Experience with laboratory equipment and setting up cultures preferred.
- Experience with computer data entry preferred.
Skills
- Phlebotomy or skin puncture techniques.
- Written and verbal communication.
- Basic organizational skills.
- Basic computer skills.
Pay
$23.00–$34.80 per hour.
Schedule
