Responsibilities

• Learn and earn at Mayo Clinic!
• Member of a diverse, agile team responsible for biological specimen receipt, identification verification, processing and storage.
• Perform a variety of clerical, processing, and other laboratory duties that include maintaining supply inventory, filing, stocking, receiving shipments, and cleaning.
• Partner with team members by fostering an inclusive work environment and respecting others with different backgrounds, experiences and perspectives.
• Located at the Superior Drive Support Center where immediate parking is available.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Knowledge of laboratory functions and medical terminology preferred.
• Science background preferred.
• 1-2 years medical experience preferred.
• Ability to stay organized, prioritize, and shift gears in a busy environment.
• Conscientious of details and strict safety requirements for handling chemicals, reagents, and infectious agents.
• Ability to work independently and as a contributing team member.
• Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing.
• Experienced with computers, keyboarding, and telephone operations.

Pay and Schedule

• $20.00 - $24.75/hour
• Full Time
• 80 hours per pay period
• Position 1: Tuesday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm and Saturday 6:00am-2:30pm (can be flexible to a later start time).
• Position 2: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm
• Weekend Schedule: Position 1: every Saturday with Monday's off. Position 2: Possible Saturdays to help fill in schedule gaps
