About the role
This is a 4-month contract position located in San Diego, CA, with a shift schedule of 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
Responsibilities
- Perform finished goods formulations
- Review available inventory and adjust concentrations
- Conduct buffer exchange and endotoxin assays
- Read and follow SOPs, batch records, and other GMP documentation
- Optimize and analyze lot histories
- Use ERP and other databases to obtain information supporting bulk processing activities
- Adhere to correct procedures, policies, and health/safety guidelines
- Use nanodrop or spectrophotometer for analysis
- Clean and maintain work area, lab equipment, and supplies
- Perform data entry and complete production documentation
- Handle other projects or responsibilities as required
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- 1-2 years of relevant lab experience with analytical assays
- Experience working in manufacturing under ISO13485 compliance and detection methods in an industry or full-time academic setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP databases to execute production orders
- Experience with aseptic technique in a biosafety cabinet
- Basic protein purification and GMP/QSR knowledge
- Experience with analytical assays such as endotoxin
- Basic protein formulation experience
- Proficiency in pipetting or dispensing liquid products
- Highly detail-oriented with the ability to verify specifications and address problems
