Lab Assistant

Job Duties

• Maintain sufficient inventory of supplies to prevent work delays
• Accurately process and analyze samples in a time efficient manner
• Follow procedures outlined in the laboratory work instructions
• Prepare media and solutions used in the laboratory
• Enter samples and results into data management system
• Be willing to work weekend rotations

Specific Experience Desired

• Previous lab experience preferred but not required

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

Personal Qualities

• Must possess the ability to apply common sense understanding to accomplish daily and weekly goals
• Must be able to deal with changing testing needs requested by supervisors or the veterinarian
