Lab Analyst (Waste Water)

About the role

The Lab Analyst (Waste Water) will support laboratory workflows, manage and drive wastewater surveillance projects, assist with validation efforts, and coordinate project objectives from initiation through completion with technical oversight from the leadership team.

Responsibilities

• Supporting laboratory workflows
• Managing and driving wastewater surveillance projects
• Assisting with validation efforts
• Coinciding project objectives from initiation through completion with technical oversight from the leadership team

Requirements

• Experience with the theory and application of chemical, microbiological and molecular principles
• Experience with laboratory safety practices
• Experience with laboratory instrumentation and mechanical equipment
• Experience with quality assurance (QA), quality control (QC) procedures and interpret QC data/results
• Experience communicating effectively both written and orally
• Experience training scientific personnel
• Experience with molecular based methods
• Ability to troubleshoot laboratory equipment and instrumentation
• Ability to compile and formulate data, draw conclusions and provide data interpretation
• Experience using laboratory information management systems (LIMS)

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry or other science related major
• Master degree or PhD would also be considered
• Experience with PCR
