Environmental Lab Analyst

Responsibilities

Analysts work under the direction of a Team Manager.

• Performing testing on routine and non-routine samples using chemical analysis techniques including:
  • Gas chromatography/mass spectroscopy
  • Gas chromatography/flame ionization detector
  • TSSTOC
  • pH testing
  • ICP-OES
  • Mercury testing
• Sample login
• Instrument maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibrations
• Reviewing test results, investigating failing results, and creating data validation packets
• Reporting non-regulatory results to customers

Work is conducted in an environment regulated by NELAP standards which are enforced by TCEQ.

Qualifications

Required

• Valid Driver's License
• High School Diploma/GED
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
• Strong time management skills

Preferred

• A.S. degree in chemistry or B.S. in physical science (preferred, not required)
