Primary Function Analysts perform basic testing procedures on a variety of analytical instruments, assessing the outcomes of the analytical techniques and documenting the findings utilizing a system of laboratory reporting. Responsibilities Follow SOPs to produce sound, relevant, qualified dataReceive samples, log in samples, and direct samples to appropriate work stationsPrepare samples, including acidifications and digestions when necessaryAssess workloads and organize timely processes for completion of analysisCreation of reagents, standards and all chemical components required for accurate assessments of chemical compositions of samples utilizing designated instrumentsQualification of instrument performance as required for continued certificationApply understanding of the fundamentals of analytical chemistry to proper instrument performance and data production Ensure integrity of data is maintained and quality control measures are metProcessing and entry of dataPeer review of fellow analysts quality measures and dataFollow safety protocols and good laboratory practicesPerform instrument maintenance Work as part of the laboratory team to guarantee that required testing parameters are performed within established timeframes Qualifications High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) required, Associates or Bachelors degree in related field, preferredMinimum of 6 months related work experience We Offer Competitive compensation package and comprehensive benefits plans which include medical and dental insurance, company-sponsored life insurance, retirement security savings plan, short- and long-term disability programs and tuition assistance.
