About the Role
Sterility Assurance performs technical studies and specialized laboratory testing to ensure that the risk of microbial contamination in medical device products is controlled and appropriately low. This role develops and executes precise monitoring and testing procedures to report on quality and regulatory science-based results in accordance with internal and external requirements.
Responsibilities
- Work on product quality testing and issues where technical skills are applied to complex systems and difficult technologies.
- Perform routine testing related to product release, including:
- Component bioburden testing
- Product bioburden testing
- Environmental monitoring of controlled environments
- Biological indicator sterility testing
- Product sterility testing
- Spore assays
- BI population assays
- Bacterial endotoxin test
- Microbial limit test
- Preparation of media and reagents.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience, preferred.
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience, required.
- Bachelor's degree in microbiology or related discipline, or equivalent work experience, preferred.

Pay
Anticipated hourly range: $16.50 - $27.25 per hour.
