L2 MSP Help Desk Technician

About the role

Shoshin Technologies is a fast‑growing MSP providing cutting‑edge IT services for small businesses on the Outer Banks and northeastern North Carolina. The team is tight‑knit, offering extensive opportunities to work with new and diverse technologies and to grow professionally. This position is a remote help desk technician role that requires prior MSP experience.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues with operating systems, VOIP, O365/Active Directory, AWS, and more.
• Support client hardware and software across a wide variety of end‑user environments.
• Use backup and recovery software and methodologies, and perform basic firewall functions.
• Troubleshoot basic networking hardware and protocols.
• Manage client issues and maintain accurate documentation using a ticketing system.

Requirements

• 2‑4 years of IT experience in an MSP environment.
• Microsoft stack experience preferred (O365, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Intune, Azure AD, Teams, Windows Server).
• Basic understanding of virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper‑V.
• Understanding of networking: TCP/IP, LAN/DMZ/WAN, DHCP, DNS, routing, switching, and firewalls.
• Familiarity with ConnectWise solutions preferred.
• AWS experience preferred.
• Strong positive mentality, problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Pay

Guaranteed salary range: $48,000 – $54,000 annually, with opportunities for bonuses.
