Responsibilities
- Follow all plant safety policies and procedures; actively participate in safety programs, perform risk assessments, and demonstrate ownership in personal safety and the safety of other team members.
- Observe and listen to operating machines or equipment to diagnose malfunctions and determine need for adjustment or repair.
- Own the cutting system up to sliver removal.
- Dismantle machine or equipment to examine parts for defects or to remove defective parts; replace defective parts with new ones.
- Assemble and test operate machines to verify correction of malfunctions.
- Perform maintenance on and clean pieces of equipment.
- Maintain daily logs and record all pertinent information (e.g., foreign material found, equipment defects, shutdowns).
- Provide breaks to ADR Operator as the Cutter Deck Operator.
- Use a two-way radio and a computer touch screen to monitor and control equipment.
- Follow good housekeeping practices and GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices).
- Wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Actively participate in AMD (Asset Management & Deployment) activities.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by a Team Leader.
Requirements
- Sanitation qualification is required; training will be provided if not already qualified.
- Lock-out/Tag-out qualification is required; training will be provided if not already qualified.
- Read, understand, and obey all plant rules and practice safety as outlined in the employee handbook.
- Practice proper body mechanics and safe lifting techniques.
- Be knowledgeable of potential hazards and safety procedures associated with tasks being performed.
- Actively practice and abide by all Company work, safety, and personal hygiene rules and regulations.
- Must be able to work independently and as a team player, be organized, and plan ahead.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
Skills
- Effectively communicate in English verbally and in writing.
- Ability to understand instructions and follow directions in English.

Pay
In compliance with applicable state and local laws, Lamb Weston has included a reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role. Actual compensation may be higher or lower in the range based on various factors, including work location, job duties, experience, and expertise. A reasonable hourly estimate for this role is $25.98.
