L&I Chief Elevator Inspector

Washington State Department of Labor & Industries · Greater Seattle Area · 2 days ago
$92k–$135k/yrFull-time
We need to output HTML fragment with sections: About the role? The description includes mission, values, candidate review date, salary, why work at L&I, work-life balance, benefits, job highlights, duties, qualifications, supplemental info (application process). We must not repeat job title as heading. Use

for section headings: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. We need to decide which sections are present. We have: Mission/Values maybe "About the role". Could be "About the role" includes mission, values, why work at L&I, work-life balance, location, etc. Responsibilities: Duties (list). Requirements: maybe Qualifications? But we have Qualifications section separate. The instruction says use headings for those specific labels; we can include only those with real content. We have Pay: salary range given. So we need a Pay section with that info. Benefits: they mention benefits: paid leave, tuition imbursement, infants at work, generous retirement package and much more. Also they say "Select on the “Benefits” tab to learn more." But we have some benefits listed. So we can include Benefits section with those bullet points. Schedule: Not mentioned explicitly; they mention hybrid work model, need to attend in-person activities, travel etc. Not a specific schedule. So we should not create Schedule section unless posting actually states them. It does not give schedule like full-time, etc. So omit Schedule. Skills: Could be part of Qualifications? There's a list of desired supervisory skills etc. Might be better to put under Qualifications or Skills. Since we have Qualifications heading, we can put required qualifications there. Desired skills could be under Skills heading. But we need to decide if we have enough content for Skills. The posting includes "Desired Supervisory skills of field elevator mechanics..." and a list of competencies. That seems like skills. So we can create Skills section with those bullet points. Qualifications: Required qualifications list (HS diploma, 5 years supervisory, etc). Also maybe include "Valid unrestricted driver's license". We'll put those. Responsibilities: Duties list (some of what you'll do). We'll put that. About the role: mission, values, why work at L&I, work-life balance, location, candidate review date maybe? But candidate review date is metadata; we could fold into short p. The instruction: do NOT put Job ID / requisition numbers as headings — fold minor metadata into a short

or drop it. Candidate review date is minor metadata; we can include in a short p under About the role or separate? Probably include in About the role as a paragraph. We must preserve all substantive information; do not invent or summarize away detail. So we need to include all details from the posting, but we can condense into prose or lists as appropriate, but not lose info. We need to avoid boilerplate: cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate, duplicated lines, and application instructions. So we must remove the Supplemental Information (application process) and other boilerplate like background check, veterans preference, etc. Those are application instructions/legal boilerplate; we should remove them. Also remove "Supplemental Information Application process Complete The Online Application..." etc. Also remove EEO statement, background check, veterans preference, etc. Also remove "Learn more about our hiring process on L&I’s website . If you need an accommodation..." etc. Also remove "Other Information Candidates who are offered a job..." etc. Also remove "Veterans Preference Applicants..." etc. Also remove "For more Information If you have any questions regarding this job posting..." etc. So we keep only substantive job description: mission, values, why work at L&I, work-life balance, benefits, job highlights, duties, qualifications (required), desired supervisory skills/competencies (skills), pay range. We must not repeat job title as heading. So no heading for "Chief Elevator Inspector". Good. We need to output only HTML fragment, no /, no markdown fences. Let's craft:

We must ensure we didn't include any boilerplate. Check: we omitted application instructions, EEO, background check, veterans preference, etc. Good. Check for any repeated content: we have "And much more!" in responsibilities and benefits; that's okay as it's from original. Check for any placeholders like "commensurate with experience" - none. Check for any missing substantive info: we included mission, values, candidate review date, why work at L&I (diverse agency, etc), work-life balance/hybrid, location statewide. We included job highlights? Actually we omitted the "Job Highlights" paragraph that describes the role's authority etc. That is substantive; we should incorporate it somewhere, maybe under About the role or Responsibilities. The Job Highlights paragraph: "The Chief Elevator Inspector for the Department of Labor & Industries is responsible and maintains the authority for making decisions, and judgments, and is accountable for public safety on all elevators, escalators, dumbwaiters, belt manlifts, automobile parking elevators, moving walks, and other elevating devices moving people and materials in Washington State as identified in chapter 70.87 RCW and chapter 296-96 WAC. The position manages the program to ensure uniform enforcement of agency elevator statutes, rules, policies, and customer service requirements." We missed that. We need to include that content. Could add to About the role or a separate section like "Role Overview". But we only have allowed headings list; we could add to About the role as a paragraph. Let's incorporate after mission/values. Thus About the role paragraph will be longer. Also we might want to include "Job Highlights" as part of About the role. Let's rewrite About the role:

That covers job highlights. Now check if any other substantive info: "Employees will be responsible for travel and expense from their residence to their assigned office and on their personal time." That's a detail about travel expenses. Should we include? It's substantive. Could
