Kyrgyz Interpreter

About the role

LanguageLine Solutions is hiring a Kyrgyz Interpreter for a remote position. This is an independent contractor position and not eligible for employee benefits.

Responsibilities

• Handle interpreting sessions promptly and professionally.
• Render accurate interpretations of conversations between Kyrgyz and English speakers.
• Speak clearly in both languages using proper pronunciation and enunciation.
• Maintain a professional demeanor and remain calm during interpreting sessions.
• Understand and follow protocol for various industries including healthcare, insurance, finance, and law.
• Ensure confidentiality and respect cultural differences.
• Provide services even in emotionally or stressful situations.
• Adapt to any LLS technology enhancements to improve service delivery.

Requirements

• Fluency in Kyrgyz and English with cultural competency.
• Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills.
• Ability to concentrate and remain neutral during sensitive calls.
• Education or work experience in language-related fields preferred.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have access to a quiet space and a reliable high-speed internet connection.
• Must be able to operate a keyboard and mouse for long periods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and write both requested languages preferred.

Skills

• Strong language skills in Kyrgyz and English.
• Cultural sensitivity and understanding.
• Technical proficiency with company-provided software and systems.

Pay

$0.75 - $0.90 per minute.
