About the Role

Under the supervision of the Supervisor I, and with guidance from team leaders, the Analyst I performs analytical and consultative work to support a wide range of operational and programmatic needs within the Area Office. This position is located in Sacramento and requires working in the office every day, five days a week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret and apply laws, regulations, and policies related to the Mobilehome Parks Act, Special Occupancy Parks Act, Employee Housing Act, and Manufactured Housing Act (Acts)
  • Support the Mobilehome Park Maintenance (MPM) Program
  • Perform CASAS data entry and analysis
  • Respond to internal and public inquiries regarding program requirements, database systems, and regulatory processes
  • Provide essential analytical, administrative, and technical support to ensure effective delivery of the Division's oversight and enforcement responsibilities

Pay

  • Analyst I Range A: $3,861.00 - $4,839.00
  • Analyst I Range B: $4,181.00 - $5,233.00
  • Analyst I Range C: $5,014.00 - $6,276.00
  • New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable
  • Effective July 1, 2025, a 3% salary reduction is in place under the Personal Leave Program (PLP), with 5 hours of Personal Leave Credit earned monthly in exchange. This program is subject to change based on union agreements and state budget policy

About the Department

HCD helps to provide stable, safe homes affordable to veterans, seniors, young families, farm workers, tribes, people with disabilities, and individuals and families experiencing homelessness. HCD awards loans and grants to public and private housing developers, nonprofit agencies, cities, counties, state and federal partners. This funding supports the construction, acquisition, rehabilitation, and preservation of affordable rental and ownership homes, provides permanent supportive housing options as well as stable, safe shelter for those experiencing homelessness. HCD also develops housing policy, building codes, and regulates factory-built and manufactured homes as well as mobilehome parks.
