About the role

The KYC Process Governance, AVP is responsible for ensuring that all of the firm's activities follow the necessary rules and regulations, and that the firm complies with legal/regulatory boundaries and jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Bank's Compliance Program by monitoring transaction activity and escalating actual or potentially suspicious activity for follow-up investigation in accordance with Bank policies and procedures.
  • Review work papers and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness, ensuring findings, conclusions, and recommendations are properly supported.
  • Leads or participates in field discussions with business line management and, where necessary, communicates and/or escalates all issues requiring the business line's or senior management's immediate attention, respectively.
  • Track regulatory changes impacting compliance programs, summarize changes and communicate changes to the business units.
  • Aid with the ongoing rollout of Compliance initiatives in CoDA and throughout the Americas.
  • Draft/edit training materials.

Qualifications

  • 5-7+ years of experience in KYC, AML or related functions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to take the lead in challenging situations and present competing viewpoints while always maintaining professionalism and composure.
  • Ability to perform detailed research and analysis.
  • Able to read and comprehend complex interconnected processes and procedures and analyze them through multiple lenses including regulatory, internal, operational, and risk.
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently and achieve results.
  • Embrace an entrepreneurial mindset with a drive to proactively identify opportunities, take actions, and request feedback from various stakeholders.
  • Motivated for continuous improvement and learning. Asking questions to ensure comprehension with the goal of becoming a subject matter expert.
  • Able to act as a leader of a small group of SMEs, including coaching, decision making, pipeline management and organizational skills.

Skills

  • Experience with advanced document editing and/or procedure writing.
  • ACAMS or other financial industry certifications.
  • Knowledge or SharePoint development.

The typical base pay range for this role is between $90K - $110K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
