Kroc Security Associate (KSA)

About the role

The Kroc Safety Associate is responsible for the safety and security of the entire RJKCCC facility and its guests, volunteers, and employees. This position maintains the overall security of the Kroc Center campus by patrolling all designated areas on foot and enforcing Center rules, regulations and codes of conduct.

Schedule

• Part-Time (up to 29 hours per week)
• Monday–Friday, start time 1:00 pm
• Must be willing and able to work weekends and evenings as required to support ongoing operations

Pay

$18.00 per hour; non-exempt; Salary Grade 75

Responsibilities

• Maintain the overall security of the Kroc Center campus by patrolling all designated areas on foot
• Enforce Center rules, regulations and codes of conduct
• Ensure the safety and security of guests, volunteers, and employees

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1–3 years prior experience in security or a related field
• Able to function in a fast-paced, frequently changing work environment
• Possess good guest-service skills; able to work with all ethnic and socio-economic populations
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods; in good physical and mental health
• Ability to work well with others while responding to direction and feedback
• Must possess or be able to acquire within 30 days of employment a First Aid/CPR certification card
• Able to read, write, and clearly communicate in English
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and pass The Salvation Army Fleet Safety Driver’s Test
• Ability to function effectively without supervision
• Must meet all Child Protection Clearances:
  • PA Act 153 Child Abuse History Clearance
  • PA State Police Criminal Record Check
  • FBI Criminal Record Check
  • Completion of PA Act 153 of 2014 Mandated Reporter training (recurrent training and clearance renewal required every five years)
• Understanding of and appreciation for the Mission of The Salvation Army
