Security Associate

About the role

The Security Associate plays a crucial role in maintaining a secure and safe environment within the Distribution Center. They support division objectives through loss prevention and shortage control programs, ensuring the integrity of the company's assets.

Responsibilities

• Supports loss prevention and shortage control programs, actively identifying all forms of loss and shortage control solutions.
• Maintains a safe and secure environment for all employees and visitors, including drivers and sales representatives.
• Monitors and assists with the tracking of product shortages, and investigates reports of known or suspected internal theft, violence, or other criminal acts.
• Manages third-party security services and conducts company shrink compliance audits.
• Facilitates improvement of shrink results and maintains a rapport with various agencies for coordinated investigations.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus 1 year of experience.
• Must be able to frequently lift/lower, push, carry, or pull 48lbs.
• Physical demands include a considerable amount of time sitting, typing/keyboarding, and walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping.
• Must be able to work at heights of 8 feet or greater.
• Must be able to pass a drug test, including a marijuana test.
