Knuckle boom Operator Street Division

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy-duty automotive, maintenance, and grounds-keeping equipment, including but not limited to knuckleboom truck, dump truck, chipper, and chainsaws.
• Haul dirt, rocks, and sand to work sites using a dump truck.
• Load dozers for transporting; operate dozers to push and compact landfills.
• Spread gravel with a grader.
• Lay asphalt and pack utility cuts with a packer.
• Participate in weed eating, shoveling, and digging ditches.
• Clean drains.
• Operate a street sweeper, street flusher, chipper machine, front-end loader, backhoe, bulldozer, or grader.
• Operate a front-end loader to load asphalt, gravel, sand, rock, slag, slurry, and similar materials onto trucks.
• Operate a dragline in digging and cleaning ditches; operate a clamshell in digging footings and lifting materials and objects.
• Operate a lowboy truck to haul heavy equipment; operate a winch truck to remove stumps, logs, and similar debris.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment, including greasing, oiling, and checking.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• One (1) year of driving experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
