What You Will Do
Lowenstein Sandler is seeking a Knowledge Management Coordinator to join a growing Knowledge and Research Services (KRS) Department. As part of a forward-thinking team at the intersection of legal practice and innovation, you will collaborate with senior KRS staff and attorneys to advance the firm's knowledge-sharing, legal technology, and AI-driven initiatives under our Vision 2030 strategy.
This role offers hands-on exposure to generative AI tools, enterprise knowledge systems, and a high-performing national law firm — making it an ideal launchpad for a career in legal technology, knowledge management, or law firm operations.
Essential Job Requirements
- AI Evaluation & Integration: Test and evaluate AI tools and platforms — assessing accuracy, output quality, workflow fit, and risk considerations — and document findings for the KRS team and firm leadership.
- Support the development and maintenance of AI training materials, prompt libraries, and user guidance for legal technology tools.
- Aid attorneys and staff in understanding how to apply AI tools effectively and responsibly within their practice workflows.
- Stay current on emerging AI developments relevant to legal practice and contribute observations and recommendations to the team.
- Knowledge Resource Development: Develop and maintain practice resources including SharePoint-based sites, client-facing portals, and work product libraries.
- Continuously improve the design and usability of knowledge resources, including suggesting site architecture, navigation, and UX enhancements informed by user feedback.
- Project Coordination & Operations: Develop a working understanding of firm systems — including business intake, matter experience tracking, and document management — to support efficient information retrieval and compliance.
- Gain exposure to project management and support end-to-end innovative technology initiatives in a law firm setting.
- Assist with broader KRS and firm innovation projects as directed by team leadership.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- Undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university required.
- Prior experience in a law firm, legal tech, or technology environment is a plus.
- AI Fluency: Hands-on experience using generative AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, or similar) and understanding prompt design, model limitations, and responsible AI use.
- Demonstrated Interest in AI & the Legal Field: Pursued learning in AI and/or the legal industry through coursework, certifications, independent projects, internships, blogs, podcasts, conferences, or self-directed exploration.
- Technology Enthusiasm: Quickly picks up new applications, systems, and platforms; explores, experiments, and figures things out.
- Strong Communicator: Writes and speaks clearly and precisely; adjusts communication style for different audiences.
- Creative Problem-Solver: Approaches challenges with curiosity and analytical rigor; looks for ways to improve how things work, not just maintain the status quo.
- Organized & Detail-Oriented: Manages multiple tasks and projects simultaneously without dropping the ball; follows through on commitments reliably; understands priorities, meets deadlines, and catches the details that matter.
- Proactive & Self-Directed: Anticipates needs, flags issues early, takes ownership of work; adapts in a fast-moving environment and goes the extra mile when needed.
- Tech Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and web-based collaboration tools.
