Kitting Supervisor

About The Role

Premier Global Links LLC is seeking an experienced Kitting Group Leader to supervise daily material flow and kitting operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for coordinating material delivery to production, managing inventory and fulfillment activities, and supporting a team of hourly employees in a unionized environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and supervise material handlers and kitting employees in a unionized manufacturing environment. Coordinate daily kitting, material distribution, inventory control, and fulfillment activities. Ensure production lines receive required materials and finished products are routed appropriately. Monitor shop-floor inventory, replenishment needs, production schedules, and material requirements. Coordinate with production, warehouse, buyers, and supply chain teams to resolve material issues. Ensure defective materials are identified, returned, and replaced appropriately. Monitor delivery performance, inventory levels, staffing, attendance, and team coverage. Maintain accurate time, attendance, vacation, and staffing records. Support union relations and follow applicable collective bargaining agreements and workplace policies. Approve team member time and vacation requests. Address employee concerns, performance issues, and workplace problems professionally and promptly. Train, coach, mentor, and develop team members while promoting a safe and productive work environment. Ensure employees complete required safety, team leader, and compliance training. Monitor material handling activities and ensure safe work practices are followed. Identify opportunities to improve kitting processes, reduce waste, and increase operational efficiency. Prepare and analyze operational reports to support decision-making and production goals. Proactively resolve material delays, discrepancies, damage, and other supply chain issues.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. 2–3 years of experience in logistics, warehouse operations, manufacturing, material handling, kitting, or supply chain. Proven supervisory experience directly managing hourly employees. Experience working in a unionized environment, including working with union representatives and following union agreements. Hands-on experience with material flow, inventory management, kitting, fulfillment, or shop-floor operations. Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Ability to adapt leadership style to different personalities and effectively coach and develop team members. Understanding of workplace safety, material handling practices, and production operations.

Preferred Qualifications

Degree or certification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Previous supply chain experience. Experience supervising warehouse, kitting, material handling, or production teams. Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Schedule

2nd Shift — Monday–Thursday, 3:00 PM–1:00 AM Additional workdays or overtime may be required based on business needs.
