$15.00 per hour (non-exempt)

About the role
The Kitchen Worker (KW) supports the operations of the Ladore catering program by preparing and serving food, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and adhering to food safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation, serving, and dining room care
- Wash dishes and pans from meals as assigned
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen and dining room areas
- Observe all sanitation rules for food services
- Follow material handling guidelines for all chemicals
- Maintain a neat and uniform appearance during work hours
- Perform related duties as assigned

Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required
- Must pass ServSafe class offered by The Salvation Army
- Must be good with people
- Able to lift 50 pounds
- Able to be on feet for long periods of time
- Ability to handle a high-paced and often intense work environment
- Ability to multitask and adapt to a changing environment
Pennsylvania’s Child Protective Services Law requires all prospective employees to complete the following clearance and background checks: PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, and PA DHS Criminal Record/Fingerprint Check. Additionally, completion of a Pennsylvania-approved Child Abuse Recognition and Reporting Training is necessary prior to employment.
