Responsible for all operations in a specific kitchen area, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and adherence to safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain clean and organized kitchen areas.
  • Prepare tableware for washing (scraping plates, presoaking silverware, loading dishwasher racks).
  • Set up and operate the dishwashing machine, ensuring proper chemical levels and temperatures.
  • Wash, dry, and store dishes, pots, and kitchen equipment in designated areas.
  • Collect soiled pots, wash, and restack clean pots on shelves.
  • Remove garbage and refuse for recycling; sweep and mop floors.
  • Perform detail cleaning of kitchen and peripheral equipment (ovens, fryers, hot boxes, coolers).
  • Sanitize all cooking equipment and adhere to regulatory and company policies.
  • Monitor and ensure quality and efficiency of service in assigned areas.
  • Follow daily checklists for kitchen tasks and notify supervisors of any issues.
  • Maintain a current understanding of information security policies, including the Seneca Gaming Corporation Acceptable Use Policy.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patrons and communicate professionally with staff.
  • Meet attendance guidelines and complete all required SGC training programs within nine months of employment.
  • Attend necessary meetings and adapt to changing duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous customer service experience preferred.
  • Good communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking effectively).
  • Ability to understand and comply with policies, procedures, and chemical labels.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move freely for extended periods.
  • Moderate physical activity, including handling objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Exposure to moderate noise levels (loud on the casino floor).
  • Work in environments with extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, and loud noises.
  • Exposure to physical risk requiring basic safety precautions.
  • Must be able to work in an environment where smoking is permitted.

Pay

Starting rate: $16.00 per hour. Compensation is negotiable based on experience and education.
