Kitchen Utility Worker

About the role

The City of Collinsville is seeking part-time Kitchen Utility Workers to support operations at the Gateway Convention Center. Responsibilities include preparing and serving food items and beverages, assisting with cleaning and inventory management, and participating in event set up and tear down.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food items and beverages to patrons
• Aid in cleaning and inventory management
• Assist with catering and concession event set up and tear down
• Perform daily kitchen opening and closing duties

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age or older at the time of hire
• Certified as a ServSafe Food Handler or capable of obtaining certification within a reasonable timeframe from start date
• Familiarity with customer service
• Experience working in an industrial kitchen
• Ability to work in hot, cold, wet, and/or other unpleasant outdoor conditions
• Ability to work in a loud, fast-paced environment

Qualifications

• Familiarity with Spanish language preferred

Pay

The pay rate for this position is $15.00 per hour.
