About the role
As a Kitchen Utility, you’ll play a key role in supporting the kitchen to deliver safe, clean, and efficient food service. This is a hands-on, physically demanding role that keeps the operation running and ensuring the kitchen, equipment, and service areas are maintained to a high standard at all times. You’ll be part of a team delivering a home away from home experience for residents on site.
Responsibilities
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety (HACCP)
- Assist with basic food preparation and kitchen support tasks
- Ensure kitchen and dining areas are clean, organised, and service-ready
- Wash, clean and store kitchen equipment and utensils
- Support stock control, labelling, and food storage processes
- Maintain kitchen equipment and report any maintenance issues
- Remove waste and handle cleaning materials safely and correctly
- Support the kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year experience in FIFO kitchen, hospitality, or similar environment
- Strong focus on cleanliness, hygiene, and safety
- Ability to work in a physically demanding role (long shifts, manual handling)
- Full Australian working rights
- Valid C Class Driver’s Licence
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
- Current National Police Check (valid with the last 3 months)
- Food Safety / Food Handling certification (or willingness to obtain)
