About the Role

The Kitchen Technician will handle various processes related to cannabis-infused edible product development, ensuring the safe production and packaging of high-quality products.

Responsibilities

  • Perform baking, labeling, and packaging of cannabis-infused edibles by hand or machine.
  • Accurately record data, including counts, inventory, weights, and measurements, using company systems and protocols.
  • Adhere to quality control SOPs, ensuring standards are met throughout production.
  • Maintain a clean, compliant, and safe work environment; report compliance or safety concerns promptly.
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, including floors, workstations, tools, and equipment; mitigate cross-contamination risks.
  • Provide input and support for new product creation and recipes.
  • Meet daily goals, kitchen objectives, and KPIs set by management.
  • Assist with additional tasks as assigned by the Kitchen Manager.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of kitchen, food services, or related experience.
  • Experience producing candies, chocolates, cookies, brownies, or other baked goods preferred.
  • Familiarity with marijuana, medical, health, or sanitation regulations preferred.
  • Food Handlers/ServSafe certificate preferred.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain focus and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Must meet state minimum age requirements.
  • Ability to pass state-mandated background checks.
  • Ability to complete and pass Food Handlers/ServSafe certification.

Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to learn and navigate seed-to-sale tracking software.

Schedule

Available to work a daily schedule with flexibility for mandatory overtime as required to meet business needs. Schedule subject to change based on business needs.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • Manufacturing environment requiring extended standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
  • Ability to carry up to 50 lbs for distances up to 100 ft may be required.
  • Occasional extended and repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers to manipulate small objects.
  • Ability to work in humid and pollinated environments.
