About the role
Call Your Mother is a Jew-ish deli blending grandma-level hospitality with seriously good bagel sandwiches. We’re a team of good humans who care about each other and take pride in feeding people delicious food with genuine hospitality. Responsibilities
- Build beautiful sandwiches that guests can’t wait to eat
- Prep ingredients and set up stations for smooth service
- Follow recipes and standards to ensure consistent quality
- Maintain fast ticket times without sacrificing quality
- Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and food-safe from open to close
- Stock the kitchen and adapt to rushes
- Learn new stations and skills to keep the work fresh
- Adapt to menu changes and coaching to improve continuously
- Pitch in wherever teammates need support
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment (e.g., washing dishes, using knives safely, following recipes)
- Morning availability with weekends; no night shifts
- Ability to stay active, work efficiently, and maintain quality under pressure
- Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to help others
- Positive attitude and eagerness to learn
Physical Requirements
- Standing, walking, reaching, bending, and performing repetitive movements
- Lifting up to 50 pounds
- Operating equipment and tools with manual dexterity
- Working in a fast-paced environment around hot equipment, sharp tools, and varying temperatures
- Occasional work in confined spaces
