About the role
The role involves maintaining a high-volume, team-driven commercial kitchen operation, focusing on dishwashing, sanitation, and kitchen cleaning. Duties include operating commercial dishwashing equipment, following health department regulations and HACCP protocols, deep cleaning equipment and surfaces, managing trash and waste, and supporting opening and closing kitchen procedures.
Required
- Minimum 2–3 years of commercial dishwashing in a high-volume operation
- Proven experience with kitchen cleaning and sanitation standards
- Basic knife skills and vegetable prep experience
- Working knowledge of food safety regulations and HACCP principles
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Basic English communication skills
PREFERRED
- Experience in institutional or educational food service
- Familiarity with international cuisines and diverse dietary requirements
- Food Handler's Certification (or willingness to obtain)
