Responsibilities
- Assist in inventory management, which includes restocking supplies when necessary.
- Dispose of waste in accordance with waste management procedures.
- Clean all pots and pans along with cleaning and maintaining kitchens and stewarding.
- Follow and maintain knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Cleans kitchen equipment and practices all HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) procedures.
- Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on a conveyor to the dishwashing machine depending on assigned equipment.
- Ensures complete cleanliness and sanitation.
- Washes pots, pans, and trays based on assigned procedures.
- Ensures complete cleanliness and sanitation.
- Polishes silver using a burnishing machine tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel, and hand cloth depending on assigned equipment and procedures.
- Ensures complete cleanliness and sanitation.
- Ensures compliance with outlined safety procedures.
- Maintains temperatures and chemical levels as outlined by provided standards.
- Keeps dish area orderly and in compliance with safety standards.
- Sweeps and mops kitchen floors to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
- Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food prep surfaces.
- Removes trash and places it in designated containers.
- Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans.
- Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
- Helps load and unload supplies and product.
Qualifications
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
- Working knowledge of all applicable sanitation requirements.
- Proven ability to understand directions.
- Ability to adapt to production requirements.
- Ability to work a variable work schedule (including evenings, holidays, overnights, and weekends, as required), depending upon event and business requirements.
- Ability to obtain and/or possess a valid SNHD food handling card.
