Kitchen Service Utility Service Worker

Responsibilities

  • Clean dishes, pots, and pans by hand and/or using a dishwasher
  • Clean all work areas, including steam tables, refrigerators, and kitchen equipment
  • Sweep and mop the kitchen and cafeteria daily
  • Remove garbage and cardboard from the kitchen and cafeteria areas
  • Auxiliary in receiving and putting away food and supply deliveries
  • Auxiliary in the setup and breakdown of breakfast and lunch service
  • Maintain a daily and weekly cleaning schedule
  • Maintain the dishwashing station and three-compartment sink in a sanitary condition
  • May assist with light food preparation as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or facility leadership

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Prior kitchen or utility experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of kitchen sanitation and food safety
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Compassionate and respectful attitude toward residents
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance
  • Must pass background check, drug screening, and MVR check
