KITCHEN PLACE/LEAD CLERK

About the role

Plan, organize, and train associates within the Kitchen Place Department. Ensure sales and profits are maximized while maintaining proper inventory, pricing, and signage.

Responsibilities

• Build sales and profits of assigned Kitchen sections
• Maintain proper inventory levels
• Price and display merchandise
• Merchandise end caps, power wings, mission tables, vignettes, and cross merchandising
• Maintain signage, tags, and promotional materials
• Maintain new planograms within assigned Kitchen section
• Respond to customer and associate comments, complaints, requests, and questions
• Use Magic System for ordering/replenishment and accounting
• Coach and train associates in merchandising, customer services, and promotional activities
• Implement company programs and policies
• Communicate and interact with employees and customers
• Maintain equipment and facilities
• Keep updated on planogram revisions, Marketing Bulletins, and notes
• Schedule and supervise direct reports
• Execute the Marketplace Sales Plan 100%

Qualifications

• Tactfully and calmly handle stressful situations
• Possess effective communication and customer service skills
• Able to operate power machinery and use various tools
• Previous grocery retail experience preferred
• Dependable and integrity-focused past work record
