Responsibilities
- Supervise and oversee the production and preparation of food in a manner consistent with established recipes and procedures
- In conjunction with all management, enforce compliance with all employment policies and oversee cleanliness of restaurant and safety of guests at all times
- Direct productivity to monitor and maintain efficient and effective food item ticket times
- Manage performance of Back of House employees, including conducting performance evaluations, coaching, and discipline
- Aid in the development of all key employees, assistant managers, and hourly employees by providing daily feedback on performance during one-on-ones
- Conduct formal line Taste & Temp checks as part of overall responsibility for inventory and safety in the kitchen
- Understand, manage, and practice safe food handling procedures
- Manage food costs, track waste, and control kitchen labor costs
- Direct work for Back of House employees, including setting hours and weekly schedules, and assigning tasks before, during, and after open hours of the restaurant
- Train Back of House employees on equipment maintenance and cleaning procedures
- Review applications, interview, and hire or make recommendations to hire Back of House employees
- Create a safe, fun, and clean work environment for the staff in a manner consistent with our core values and operational goals
Qualifications
- A passion for made from scratch food
- Experience supervising and managing kitchen staff
- Knowledge of food safety and handling practices
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
