Kitchen Manager

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and oversee the production and preparation of food in a manner consistent with established recipes and procedures
  • In conjunction with all management, enforce compliance with all employment policies and oversee cleanliness of restaurant and safety of guests at all times
  • Direct productivity to monitor and maintain efficient and effective food item ticket times
  • Manage performance of Back of House employees, including conducting performance evaluations, coaching, and discipline
  • Assist with the development of all key employees, assistant managers, and hourly employees by providing daily feedback on performance during one-on-ones
  • Conduct formal line Taste & Temp checks as part of overall responsibility for inventory and safety in the kitchen
  • Understand, manage, and practice safe food handling procedures
  • Manage food costs, track waste, and control kitchen labor costs
  • Direct work for Back of House employees, including setting hours and weekly schedules, and assigning tasks before, during, and after open hours of the restaurant
  • Train Back of House employees on equipment maintenance and cleaning procedures
  • Review applications, interview, and hire or make recommendations to hire Back of House employees

Qualifications

  • Passion for scratch-made food for all
  • Experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
  • Knowledge of food safety and handling practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Pay

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00 per hour, depending on experience.
