Kitchen Manager

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and oversee the production and preparation of food in a manner consistent with established recipes and procedures.
  • In conjunction with all management, enforce compliance with all employment policies and oversee cleanliness of restaurant and safety of guests at all times.
  • Direct productivity to monitor and maintain efficient and effective food item ticket times.
  • Manage performance of Back of House employees, including conducting performance evaluations, coaching, and discipline.
  • Assist with the development of all key employees, assistant managers, and hourly employees by providing daily feedback on performance during one-on-ones.
  • Conduct formal line Taste & Temp checks as part of overall responsibility for inventory and safety in the kitchen.
  • Understand, manage, and practice safe food handling procedures.
  • Manage food costs, track waste, and control kitchen labor costs.
  • Direct work for Back of House employees, including setting hours and weekly schedules, and assigning tasks before, during, and after open hours of the restaurant.
  • Train Back of House employees on equipment maintenance and cleaning procedures.
  • Review applications, interview, and hire or make recommendations to hire Back of House employees.
  • Create a safe, fun, and clean work environment for the staff in a manner consistent with our core values and operational goals.

Qualifications

  • A passion for made from scratch food.
  • Experience supervising and managing kitchen staff.
  • Knowledge of food safety and handling practices.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay

Pay Range: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00
