Kitchen Manager

About the role

The Kitchen Manager reports to the Food and Beverage Manager and oversees the daily culinary operations at Revel, an American restaurant adjacent to the Hilton Garden Inn Pittsburgh Downtown. Revel also partners with Roost, an elevated event space. This property is locally owned and operated by Piatt Hotel Group, an established, family-owned management group with a portfolio of properties across Western Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

• Supervises kitchen staff and schedules shifts
• Manages food preparation and quality standards
• Orders and controls inventory and supplies
• Ensures food safety and sanitation compliance
• Maintains food costs and reduces waste
• Trains new kitchen employees
• Collaborates with front-of-house staff and management
• Maintains kitchen equipment and organization

Requirements

• Proven ability to train others and lead a team
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Inventory and cost control experience
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Outstanding people skills
• Trustworthy and results-driven
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays

Qualifications

• Three or more years of progressive experience in a culinary supervisory role
