About the Role
The Kitchen Manager oversees the Assisted Living food service to include plan, prepare and oversee menu and food production in accordance with current federal, state and county standards, policies and procedures and regulations governing the Assisted Living facility.
Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and oversee menu and food production in accordance with current federal, state and county standards, policies and procedures and regulations governing the Assisted Living facility.
- Ensure compliance with ServSafe certification requirements or the ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Preferred to be Certified Dietary Manager.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent and two years in institutional food service or long term care industry preferred or any combination of education and experience which demonstrates possession of the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
- ServSafe certified required or the ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Certified Dietary Manager preferred.
Qualifications
- A drug screen and background check will be required of all conditional hires.
Skills
- Knowledge of federal, state and county standards, policies and procedures and regulations governing the Assisted Living facility.
- Ability to obtain ServSafe certification or have certification.
- Preferred Certified Dietary Manager certification.
