Responsibilities
- Prepare great food, grill meats, and sauté vegetables
- Ensure food quality by cooking and prepping food to order, and following kitchen procedures
- Monitor food waste and inventory levels, and resolve food quality issues
- Support a strong team dynamic between back of house Crew and front of house Crew
- Develop Crew members to be future Kitchen Leaders
- Communicate with Crew members and customers effectively to ensure great customer service and throughput
- Ensure the kitchen is properly cleaned and sanitized
- Maintain kitchen equipment and ensure it is in good repair; repair malfunctioning equipment as quickly as possible
- Ensure compliance with necessary guidelines to prevent injuries or accidents
- Fulfill Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and Inventory Rotation (FIFO)
Requirements
- Ability to understand and articulate Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy
- Knowledge and ability to speak, write, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location
- A high school diploma
- Restaurant experience

Pay
The base pay range for this position is $17.65–$19.64 per hour, with the possibility of earning digital tips. Actual base pay may vary based on skill level, experience, and/or education. For more details, visit Chipotle’s benefits page.
Schedule
As a Kitchen Leader, you will be on your feet throughout the day, working to ensure the quality and safety of Chipotle’s food. Shifts may vary based on operational needs.
