About the role

This position is responsible for food preparation, greeting and attending guests in the dining area, cash handling, and serving food. It involves various tasks such as preparing hot and cold food, maintaining cleanliness, and adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Greet each guest upon arrival
• Receive cash, credit cards, or comps from customers as payment
• Follow through on cashier ordering process to ensure standards are met
• Set up cash drawer and prepare for shift
• Ensure accuracy in computing bills and making correct change
• Close register at end of each shift, count down drawer, and complete paperwork
• Return cash to the main bank
• Assure assigned section or position is ready for service
• Adhere to customer service standards and sequence of service standards
• Complete all assigned side work prior to leaving shift
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment
• Prepare entrees, vegetables, salads, burgers, and desserts following recipes
• Coordinate advance preparation based on forecasts and headcounts
• Inspect food quality and ensure proper storage
• Clean work area and equipment used in food preparation
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One to three years of related experience and/or training in related field
• Must obtain and maintain Serv-Safe certification
• Must obtain and maintain a valid racing license

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of gaming operations, rules, and regulations
• Ability to multi-task

• Knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and maintenance
• Knowledge of safety and sanitation rules and practices
• Knowledge of fire and departmental safety procedures
• Knowledge of basic food preparation and handling techniques
• Knowledge of advanced food preparation and handling techniques
• Knowledge of lifting, equipment operation, and knife usage
