To cook and prepare food and display product in the department in a careful, clean, neat, and expedient manner while ensuring all product is fresh, rotated, and well-stocked for customers. Maintain great customer service.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook food according to production guidelines and established sanitation standards.
- Display products neatly and ensure freshness through proper rotation (first in, first out).
- Greet, assist, and thank customers promptly and courteously; prepare special orders as requested.
- Answer product questions and offer assistance in finding or suggesting product selection.
- Work with the kitchen manager for daily meal/menu planning and guarantee outstanding product quality and presentation.
- Process merchandise according to production guidelines and follow company policies for rotation, code dates, and shrink control.
- Monitor cooler and display area temperatures; report refrigeration failures immediately.
- Maintain company standards for safety, food handling, sanitation, and productivity.
- Practice proper safety when lifting, moving product, operating equipment, and cleaning tools.
- Restock supply items efficiently to minimize waste and maintain low supply costs.
- Clean utensils, work tables, walls, fans, drains, and display cases.
- Present a favorable impression through dress, hygiene, and business attitude.
- Notify management of associate theft, customer shoplifting, or property defacement.
- Complete onboarding/e-learnings and checklists within 30 days of hire.
- Commit to the “Golden Rule” and work in a Respectful, Supportive, and Totally Team-Oriented (RSTO) manner to build a strong kitchen team.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3–5 years of professional cooking experience in the food industry.
- Successful experience in kitchen operations (e.g., line cooking, merchandising, ordering, inventory, and pricing).
- Complete training in kitchen operations.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; follow instructions.
- Ability to work a schedule based on business needs.
- Authorized to work in the U.S.

- Occasionally (1-33%): Pushing/pulling up to 250 lbs, lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing up to 8 feet, kneeling, crouching.

Pay
The hiring range for this position is $15.40 - $20.10 per hour, depending on factors including education, experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
