Kitchen Cleaner-Dish Machine - Hotel

About the role

Responsibilities

• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of all food service areas and equipment, including kitchens, storerooms, and locker areas.
• Clean, wash, and store all eating and drinking utensils, pots, pans, and related items; clean all kitchen surfaces (floors, walls, ceilings, etc.).
• Maintain clean dishwashers and dishwashing areas; clean out the dish machine after every meal.
• Stock all service areas within the kitchen with glassware, silver, china, etc.
• Empty and scrub garbage containers; keep garbage compactor area clean and neat.
• Clean hood areas and screens above cooking areas under the supervision of the Lead Stewards.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to perform physical work, including lifting up to 60 lbs.
• Must be able to read English.
• Friendliness and a well-groomed appearance are a plus.

Schedule

Normal working hours are primarily 2nd shift, including weekends and holidays. Hours may vary based on operational demand. This is a union position, and the work schedule will be based on union seniority. Candidates must be available for evening and weekend hours.
