About the role
This position supports and assists in the preparation and service of quality food to students in a quick and pleasant manner.Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily operation of the school nutrition program.
- Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment.
- Assist with set up and replenish serving lines to ensure timely meal service.
- Clean and sanitize the kitchen, cafeteria, food preparation areas, and equipment in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Aid in basic food preparation as directed by the Kitchen Manager.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and district procedures.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to provide efficient meal service to students and staff.
- Must obtain a Food Handler Card
- Required Child Nutrition Program Training

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a food service setting preferred.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
