Kitchen and Laundry Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform all repairs and maintenance on kitchen and laundry related disciplines, including but not limited to: stoves, ovens, toasters, dish machines, steamers, salamanders, and laundry equipment
• Schedule and prioritize all kitchen and laundry related requests for the hotel
• Maintain and control inventory through established pars for all necessary parts, tools, and equipment
• Maintain the hotel’s OSHA/Safety programs within the kitchen and laundry shop
• Maintain cleanliness, utilize personal protection equipment when necessary, and report any potential hazards

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent education required
• Expertise in all phases of plumbing through Vo-Tech graduate, Trade sponsored training program completion, factory/commercial education program completion, or equal experience at a similar facility for a minimum of five (5) years
• Minimum of one (1) to two (2) years’ experience in a hotel or resort environment preferred
• Exceptional communication skills
• Basic computer skills

Physical Requirements

• Most work tasks are performed indoors with moderate, controlled temperature
• Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying required (up to 35 lbs. on a regular basis)
• Frequent bending, kneeling, and potential continuous standing
• Manual dexterity, grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening, hearing, and visual acuity required
