Kitchen and Bath Designer/Project Specialist
About the role
We are seeking a Kitchen and Bath Designer/Project Specialist for our KIBA Studios Division. As a project specialist, you will utilize 2020 software to design, price, and present projects to the KIBA in-store designer you are assigned to. You’ll communicate weekly with designers to provide a high level of support and assistance, assist with onboarding, mentoring, and supporting Kiba Studio showroom designers, and provide backup support for the Kiba Studios National team. This position offers the opportunity to work remotely from your home office.
Responsibilities
- Design kitchen and bath projects for both showroom and online customers using 2020 Design software.
- Create accurate layouts, specifications, and project quotes based on customer requirements.
- Prepare professional design presentations and supporting project materials for customer review.
- Partner with showroom designers and project coordinators to ensure successful project presentations and customer experiences.
- Maintain detailed project information, customer communications, and design documentation within CRM systems.
- Provide ongoing support and consultation to showroom designers to help drive project success and close rates.
- Deliver onboarding and mentorship training to new Kiba Studio designers.
- Facilitate designer development programs and contribute to continuous learning initiatives.
- Assist with the creation, maintenance, and enhancement of training materials and resources.
- Support kitchen and bath product training programs as needed.
- Maintain product catalogs and related design system data within 2020 Design software.
- Participate in vendor training programs to stay current on products, trends, and best practices.
- Support CRM system maintenance, updates, and data integrity efforts.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Interior Design; Bachelor’s is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years’ professional kitchen and/or bath design and sales experience.
- 3+ years’ experience using 2020 design software and managing multiple design projects at once, while keeping accurate records.
- Experience with customer relationship management systems is preferred.
- Must be capable of maintaining updates to the 2020 software application and all vendor catalogs and pricing.
- Excellent computer skills in 2020, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to adhere to strict timelines while collaborating with internal and external teams.
- Ability to exhibit poise and confidence while communicating with customers, business owners, sales teams, and design specialists.
- Excellent spelling and grammar skills with the ability to communicate courteously, tactfully, and concisely with customers and corporate staff.
