Kit Assembly Operator
Key Responsibilities
- Setup work area for production of retail oil change kits.
- Assemble retail component kit, retail packaging, and completed overpack box for retail oil change kits.
- Perform regular quality checks during kitting process to ensure process is being followed.
- Pull correct product and lot numbers from appropriate location by following FIFO provided by SAP.
- Reconcile inventory at end of kitting process to ensure all fill instructions have been followed.
- Rework leaking products & returned case goods from carriers.
- Absorb as instructed.
- Maintain housekeeping in the distribution center.
- Train as backup to operate lifting equipment & process shipments in direct distribution areas.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 0–1 year of warehouse experience
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds on a continuous basis
- Forklift certification or the ability and willingness to obtain certification
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Dependability and a strong work ethic
- Commitment to following warehouse safety procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced distribution environment
- Flexibility to assist with picking, shipping, loading, and unloading as needed
About the Role
Join the ILA Distribution Center team and take ownership of our kitting operation from start to finish! In this hands-on role, you’ll help ensure products are accurately prepared, organized, and ready to move while supporting efficient daily warehouse operations. You’ll also be cross trained to assist in direct distribution, giving you the opportunity to expand your skills and make an impact across the team.
