The Rahway Public Schools is seeking a dedicated Paraprofessional to support the district's mission of providing high-quality education and services to all students.
About the role
This 10-month position plays a vital part in Rahway Public Schools' educational support team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to student success, collaboration, and fostering a positive and inclusive school environment.
Responsibilities
- Support classroom teachers in implementing lesson plans and activities
- Assist in maintaining a safe and orderly learning environment
- Provide individualized attention to students as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other staff members to enhance student learning
- Participate in professional development opportunities to improve skills and knowledge
Requirements
- A High School Diploma
- Substitute teacher certification preferred but not required
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of relevant technology and software tools

Pay
Salary is determined based on the negotiated agreement: Step 1 with High School Diploma: $15.92
With Associate Degree or Substitute Teacher Certification: $17.48
