About the role

This position works directly with kindergarten students in classroom settings, outside at recess, and other locations at Sweeney Elementary under the direction of teachers; assisting the teacher, providing student supervision and support as needed. Provides support to all students, ensuring successful learning and interactions with peers and other adults.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to supervise children in a positive manner.
• Ability to make appropriate decisions quickly.
• Knowledge of discipline policies and procedures.
• Able to work independently.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to follow teacher's plan and direction and communicate effectively with students and staff.
• Experience working with young children.

Working Conditions

• Classroom environment.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50lbs.

Pay & Benefits

• Compensation Range: $21.85 - $27.65 per hour, based on experience.

Schedule
