About the role

Candidates selected to fill the role of Elementary Teacher for Wayzata Public Schools will be given the great responsibility of continuing our long standing commitment to academic excellence. This will be done through the design and delivery of instruction that ensures the success of a diverse population of learners. In addition, you will be responsible for building positive relationships and working collaboratively with students, parents, and staff members to foster a positive experience for the entire learning community.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver instruction that ensures the success of a diverse population of learners
• Build positive relationships and work collaboratively with students, parents, and staff members
• Maintain strong classroom management and a positive learning environment
• Use current technology to support communication, academics, and student progress monitoring
• Produce, analyze, and respond to relevant data about student learning
• Calmly and effectively deal with a variety of unexpected circumstances

Requirements

• Valid MN teaching license
• Previous elementary level teaching experience (ideal)
• Deep knowledge of core areas such as Language Arts, Math, and early literacy
• Experience with multiple instructional designs and differentiated strategies that support diverse learners
• Proficiency with current educational technology

Pay

Compensation Range: $52,308 - $123,452 (Depending on Education and Experience). See Wayzata Education Association Contract for more information.
